Professional Development

LREDA serves its commitment to the ongoing professional development of its members by providing continuous education, networking and sharing resources, advocating for professional recognition, and providing assistance and encouragement for religious educators. Also, in partnership with the Unitarian Universalist Association, we encourage participation in the Religious Education Credentialing program.

Leah PurcellLeah Purcell holds the Professional Development portfolio on the LREDA Board. Leah works with LREDA's Committee on Mentoring, the Credentialing Scholarship Committee, LREDA LARGE and Small, and liaises with UUA's Renaissance and Credentialing programs. LREDA plays an active role in religious educators' professional development through our annual events, Fall Conference, Professional Day, and the Sophia Fahs Lecture. Lily Rappaport holds the Continental Events portfolio on the Board and oversees Fall Conference in conjunction with the planning team and our Conference Planner, Bea Ann Phillips.
