OWL Facilitator Training
Save the date! An in-person Our Whole Lives Facilitator Training will be coming to the Seattle, WA area Labor Day Weekend 2022! Saturday, September 3rd - Monday, September 5th.
We'll have a facilitator training for each of the three levels: Elementary, Secondary, and Adult.
This year the retreat will be held at Menucha Retreat and Conference Center. Menucha is located on the south side of the Columbia River Gorge, in Corbett, Oregon, inside the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Menucha is just a 30-40 minute ride from downtown Portland, PDX airport, and Portland’s AMTRAK train terminal. Freeways I-84 and I-205 provide easy access by car from all directions. Menucha's entrance is located at 38711 E Historic Columbia River Highway.
We will be staying in the Barn, a separate facility just for us. There are 4 rooms, with up to 4 people per room. We will be making our own meals and need to pack our own bedding.

PNW LREDA Chapter Professional Retreat
Pacific Northwest District LREDA is offering a 3 day professional workshop and retreat for LREDA members, from Tuesday, July 5th to Thursday, July 7th.
What this workshop is all about:
Each year, we host a retreat to help gather the community of religious educators, to help build that community, and to foster the interpersonal relationships that sustain our growth and development. Throughout the retreat, we have time for meals, leisure, playful activities, reflection, and dialogue about professional issues.
Our Professional Development hours will take the form of collaborative sharing. Bring your ideas, questions, and sparkles of possibility to workshop together!
For more information email
In our Chapter, we offer 3 opportunities for monthly support and professional development. Any cluster meeting is open to any LREDA Chapter member.
Current clusters are :
- Willamette Valley Cluster
- Puget Sound Cluster
- Online Cluster
We have a scaled dues structure, which recognizes the difference in financial means and professional budgets of religious educators working part- or full-time and a difference between new and longtime or credentialed religious educators. This helps to maintain equity and accessibility to the chapter for all, while also keeping our organization financially healthy and allowing us to continue our work.
Professional expenses for a religious educator should be about 10% of salary. Dues are calculated to be approximately 3% of your professional expenses. If your professional expenses aren't at the suggested level, or if your funds have already been budgeted for this year, please pay what seems appropriate for you. Thank you for your support of LREDA.
Use this FORM to claim Chapter expenses for reimbursement. Once completed email it to the Chapter Treasurer / President for approval.
