We are excited to welcome the PERSONAL TRAINERS for our second day: Kirsten Hunter, the First Parish Malden Leadership team, and Jes Martinez-Hunt.
FINANCE BALLET

Kirsten Hunter is a credentialed religious educator and lifelong UU with a Masters degree in Special Education and over 25 years of experience as an educator and leader in a variety of settings. She currently serves in co-leadership on the ministry team at South Church UU congregation in Portsmouth, NH.
AI STRETCH BREAK

DR. JES MARTINEZ-HUNT (they/them) is a UU religious professional, conflict engagement coach, and co-founder of Tr&ns, where they support trans folks, justice workers, and faith leaders in building communities rooted in care, connection, and courage. Their work centers on covenant, conflict, and what it takes for people to stay in relationship when things get hard. Jes holds a Doctor of Ministry and is a librarian who creates spaces where people feel connected, valued, and able to grow.
SOCIAL JUSTICE BOXING CLUB
Are you seeing people being targeted in your community by harmful policies and rising fascism and are longing to do something but not sure what? Do you need help figuring out what risk level you and your congregation can take? Are you unsure how to help your congregation say yes to joyful resistance? Let’s come together and talk about all the ways we can make good trouble and joyfully resist together with special focus on the ways UU Congregations and others have said yes to the Pink Haven Coalition’s work for trans liberation!

REV. OTTO CONCANNON (he/him) has served as the Minister of the First Parish in Malden since 2017, where he has seen the congregation grapple with what it means to live our values in practical ways. His time at First Parish in Malden has seen the congregation become well known for its inclusion and celebration of transgender people with 25% of the congregation's current membership identifying as trans or non-binary. His previous experience includes interreligious studies, college chaplaincy, as well as extensive work in LGBTQ non-profits in both California and Massachusetts. He is a transgender man and lives in Malden, MA with his wife and two kids.

HEATHER VICKERY (she/her) is the Coordinator for Congregational Activism at the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) and she supports UU congregations and other groups that want to do their justice work more effectively and faithfully. In both her paid and unpaid organizing work, she works deeply for trans and migrant liberation through the Pink Haven Coalition and the Community Accompaniment Program with Asylum Seekers. Heather is also an aspirant for UU ministry and a student at the Starr King School for the Ministry. When she is not working and organizing, you can find her and her rescue pup Nova hiking, gardening and cooking with their loved ones.

ERIK FEARING (he/him) is a career mathematics educator and lifetime UU who has been Treasurer of the First Parish in Malden since June 2021. Since First Parish's initial connection with Pink Haven, he has focused on the logistics of getting direct support to people in need as a key element of this social justice ministry. As a labor leader, he has run workshops on LGBTQ basics and trans-inclusivity (in the classroom and in union action) for comrades in the Massachusetts Teachers Association and represented educators as a member of the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth. Erik's favorite side gig is as an immersive theater performer. You probably didn't interact with him in Club Drosselmeyer, Save the Munbax, or Dreaming of Aronia.

REV AISHA ANSANO (she/her) is a co-founding minister of Nourish, which aims to feed UUs in body and spirit through embodied worship experiences. She also serves as Co-director for New UU Communities at the UUA, supporting spiritual innovation within our faith. Rev. Aisha has been an affiliated community minister at First Parish in Malden since 2019, where she supports the congregation's work with Pink Haven. She lives in Malden, Ma with her partner and their exuberant black lab, Bramble.
